FAQ's
What Type of File Format Does LogoCleanUp.com (LCU) provide? Unless otherwise specified by you, we will provide you with an EPS file with all fonts converted to curves. This is the best option for archiving, emailing and passing on to your supplier for imprinting, as EPS format files are vectored and the most widely accepted format today. What programs read an EPS file? Programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Freehand, Corel Draw, and Desk Top Publishing programs such as Adobe PageMaker and Quark Xpress read them as well. How Can I see My Finished Product if I can't read EPS files? Simple. Just let us know when placing your order and we'll provide an additional PDF file (uses the free downloadable Adobe Acrobat Reader) or other type of file you know you can read, just let us know. We will do this in addition to providing the vectored EPS file for your suppliers. Can I direct my supplier to a web image to satisfy my art requirements? Most Ad Specialty and Graphics industry suppliers WILL NOT accept web images as camera-ready art. The reason is becuase most web images are saved using a Lossey compression format at low resolutions to accommodate quick loading of their web pages. These low resolutions (usually 72 dpi) cannot be enlarged without substantial distortion. Why should I use LCU instead of just sending what my customer provides directly to my supplier? That is fine if you intend to sell only one item to your customer. And all of your suppliers will charge a fee for this service (which varies from supplier to supplier). However, LCU provides you with a file that can be used over and over again, with multiple suppliers. We feel that it is best for your to retain control over your clients' logos for re-use on additional items. In other words, pay once, not over and over again. We have an in-house artist. Why would we want to use LCU? If you are busy, then your in-house artist is likely to be busy. Think of LCU as a back-up art service when your artist(s) are busy. Additionally, if your in-house artist isn't giving you EPS vectored art, you are restricted to using the art at the size it was created or smaller. EPS allows the file to be enlarged, virtually, as large as you wish without distortion. I am doing my own art work, why should I use LCU? LogoCleanUp.com will help free you up to do what you do best, sell. By using us, you can take those hours of time and invest them into building your business. No more hours spent looking for fonts, re-tracing art images, scanning etc. This time can be used more wisely attracting and maintaining your clients. Does LCU own the rights to logos that are produced? No. We charge no royalty fees, you are free to use the logos we provide you again and again. The logos actually belong to your client (and their original designer, please consult US copyright laws for exact ownership information), not us, so you are free to use them as often as you like. I have a Client who has no logo. Can you help? LCU can help you develop an image program, graphically for any client. We charge by the hour for work rendered. Logo design can sometimes take more time to complete than cleaning-up a pre-existing logo. All custom jobs will be quoted before work begins. We can also help you create a "look" in graphics for your client, using specific fonts and design styles. If you wish, we can help you develop a style guide for your client, adding another value you offer with your services. A custom quote is required for the creation of a style guide.
